Shop at Sony Uruguay with a 5% discount using the coupon FEFOSONY
Excited to share some great news with you all! As of today, I am part of the Sony family as an Alpha Friend.
I still can't believe it! 🥹 My first camera was a Sony Cyber-shot point-and-shoot. With that camera I started dreaming of being a photographer and pointing to the sky. I always knew that the day I could afford professional equipment, it would be from Sony Alpha. And so it was.
This collaboration—which makes me the first Uruguayan photographer to become an Alpha Friend—has raised some questions that I will answer below.
What does it mean to be a Sony Alpha Friend?
Being an Alpha Friend means being part of an exclusive community of creators who, at Sony's discretion, excel in their respective fields and choose to use Sony Alpha series equipment. In my case, astrophotography is brought to life through these devices.

Is there an official Sony shop in Uruguay?
Yes. Sony has landed in Uruguay with its online shop www.sonycenter.uy and the campaign Más cerca de USA (Closer to the US), which really changes the game, bringing the prices of Sony cameras, lenses and accessories closer to those in the United States. This means that you no longer have to go through the hassle of importing from abroad, as, in most cases, it is now more convenient to buy directly in Uruguay (sometimes even cheaper—see this example). In addition, Sony Uruguay offers an extended warranty for an additional year and access to official technical service in Uruguay, Argentina and Chile.
And as if that wasn't enough, Sony Uruguay is giving all my audience an additional 5% discount on all purchases, both online using the coupon FEFOSONY, and in the physical shop (mentioning the coupon).
The discount applies to interchangeable lens cameras, video cameras, Cyber-Shot cameras, lenses and accessories.
